Sorry to intrude the thread, Has anyone come across tutorials on how to upgrade my cvs server? I am using 1.11.17 as well, I need to upgrade to 1.11.22 so that I can use acls.

Go ahead and download a copy of the 1.11.22 sources and look in the cvs-1.11.22/NEWS file for details of what has been changed between each of the releases. Hint: Now that you have downloaded the latest sources, consider installing and using them. There are a number of security fixes you will desire to pick up with that release. The repository format is completely compatible between the two releases.
