There is a known issue with OE 5.5 and newly read messages suddenly becoming unread again. Could this bug be related to the recently fixed signalling bug in 2.0.9? I do not understand the IMAP spec enough to answer who's bug this is, but here is my assertion. OE opens multiple connections to the server. One of these connections gets the new messages and then tells the server to update the SEEN state (which the server does, I can confirm this). Next, the other connection gets control and for some reason has not yet been told that there is a new SEEN state (which it might be expecting if it had issued an IDLE command) and therefore loads what it believes to be the correct SEEN state into the client mailbox. I do not believe that OE reinitializes the SEEN state on the server, the second connection just doesn't get the message it changed. Can anyone here confirm, deny, or otherwise give plausibility to this assertion? -- Michael --
