That's exactly what it does. The beauty of that patch is that it's
easy to modify. I personally needed something that checks /etc/shadow
first before checking LDAP. That was pretty easy to code - extremely
easy, in fact, because I stole code from pwcheck_getspnam.c ;)
I do believe that you are correct about all users having to be in
the same rdn. That's not difficult to change, though.
