GNU Gama 1.8.01 has been released. It is available from
ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/gama/ and mirrors of that site (see list of
mirror sites at http://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html).

GNU Gama is a project dedicated to adjustment of geodetic networks.
The stable branch of the project is currently limited to network
adjustment in a local coordinate system and its functionality is
represented by the program gama-local, which adjusts geodetic (free)
networks of observed distances, directions, angles, height
differences, 3D vectors and observed coordinates (coordinates with
given variance-covariance matrix). In the new development branch the
adjustment model is based on geocentric coordinate system (adjustment
model on ellipsoid). Its functionality is be represented by the
program gama-g3.

Version 1.8.01

policies (as described in the GNU coding standards, and
technically also discussed in the autoconf, make and automake
     manuals).
   * New structure of source directories. Directories expat, gamalib,
gnu_gama and matvec moved to a common source subdirectory lib.
