Hi Everyone, We are pleased to announce that version 2.35 of the GNU Binutils project sources have been released and are now available for download at:
https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/binutils https://sourceware.org/pub/binutils/releases/ The checksums are: f5ee1b8aab816dce3badf8513be6dd75 binutils-2.35.tar.bz2 63c597bd52f978d964028b7c3213d22e binutils-2.35.tar.gz 28a8e8831b93de22468df1d8a9a74b00 binutils-2.35.tar.lz fc8d55e2f6096de8ff8171173b6f5087 binutils-2.35.tar.xz This release contains numerous bug fixes, and also the following new features: * The asseembler can now produce DWARF-5 format line number tables. * Readelf now has a "lint" mode to enable extra checks of the files it is processing. * Readelf will now display "[...]" when it has to truncate a symbol name. The old behaviour - of displaying as many characters as possible, up to the 80 column limit - can be restored by the use of the --silent-truncation option. * The linker can now produce a dependency file listing the inputs that it has processed, much like the -M -MP option supported by the compiler. Our thanks go out to all of the binutils contributors, past and present, for helping to make this release possible. Cheers The Binutils Team -- If you have a working or partly working program that you'd like to offer to the GNU project as a GNU package, see https://www.gnu.org/help/evaluation.html.
