We are happy to announce the release 1.38 of GNU Libidn!

GNU Libidn is a fully documented implementation of the Stringprep,
Punycode and IDNA2003 specifications.  Libidn's purpose is to encode and
decode internationalized domain name strings.  There are native C, C#
and Java libraries.

[*] Use a .sig file to verify that the corresponding file (without the
.sig suffix) is intact.  First, be sure to download both the .sig file
and the corresponding tarball.  Then, run a command like this:

  gpg --verify libidn-1.38.tar.gz.sig

If that command fails because you don't have the required public key,
then run this command to import it:

  gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 0664A76954265E8C

and rerun the 'gpg --verify' command.

* Noteworthy changes in release 1.38 (2021-07-22) [stable]

** doc: Simplify building of gdoc-generated man/texi outputs.
Now the targets are rebuilt on version number changes properly.

** doc: Improve GTK-DOC manual.

** build: Fix build errors related to doc/idn--help.texi.

** build: Fix --disable-tld builds.
Now tld_strerror() is removed when --disable-tld is used.
