Hello, Please be informed that GNU mailutils version 3.14 is available for download. See the end of this message for a list of noteworthy changes in this release.
GNU mailutils is a protocol-independent framework for email processing. It provides a set of libraries for doing almost any mail-related task on mailboxes in various formats, using a consistent format-independent API. Several tools are built atop of these libraries and included in the package. Here are the compressed sources: https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mailutils/mailutils-3.14.tar.gz (7.2MB) https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mailutils/mailutils-3.14.tar.bz2 (4.9MB) https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mailutils/mailutils-3.14.tar.xz (3.1MB) Here are the GPG detached signatures[*]: https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mailutils/mailutils-3.14.tar.gz.sig https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mailutils/mailutils-3.14.tar.bz2.sig https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/mailutils/mailutils-3.14.tar.xz.sig Use a mirror for higher download bandwidth: https://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html Here are the SHA1 and SHA256 checksums: 604aecafa22c983d10cba1f7a4051720d4dff395 mailutils-3.14.tar.gz J9jfqzSs6apaD+zlHbWs+F1C4Q3nSwVJmGbeXlrs+/4 mailutils-3.14.tar.gz 5a4809e154785b7e6d787361385e327239600776 mailutils-3.14.tar.bz2 ySxpwUb5svf8BC+gnYdYbcGDpkzJNoiQxVRtlLuK84E mailutils-3.14.tar.bz2 0ff0f12e10d6bd33fcbeb8078f6417e8a4ec3bad mailutils-3.14.tar.xz wMWzj+qLRaSvzUNkh/Knb9VSUJLQN4gTputVQsIScTk mailutils-3.14.tar.xz The SHA256 checksum is base64 encoded, instead of the hexadecimal encoding that most checksum tools default to. [*] Use a .sig file to verify that the corresponding file (without the .sig suffix) is intact. First, be sure to download both the .sig file and the corresponding tarball. Then, run a command like this: gpg --verify mailutils-3.14.tar.gz.sig If that command fails because you don't have the required public key, then run this command to import it: gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys 3602B07F55D0C732 and rerun the 'gpg --verify' command. New in this release: * TLS support rewritten from scratch ** New configuration statement: tls.handshake-timeout This statement sets timeout in seconds for TLS handshake operations in daemons. Default timeout it 10 seconds. * Fix idle timeout handling (imap4d and pop3d daemons) * New function mu_mailbox_append_message_ext This function appends the message to the mailbox, optionally rewriting its envelope and/or attribute flags. * mail utility ** new command: unread (U) ** message state is preserved when copying to another mailbox The mbox and copy commands append the messages to the destination mailbox preserving their state (read, unread, etc.) * Build requires GNU bison and flex * All parsers and scanners are rewritten in reentrant form * Support for mimetypes incorporated to the libmailutils library * Maildir and MH mailboxes ** Change the way of storing the envelope information Envelope info is stored in Return-Path and Received headers. The use of non-standard X-Envelope-Sender and X-Envelope-Date headers has been discontinued. ** Message scanner completely rewritten * Bugfixes ** Fixed timezone calculation (see https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?61239) ** Fixed some memory and fd leaks ** Fixed corner case in mu_make_file_name_suf function Regards, Sergey -- If you have a working or partly working program that you'd like to offer to the GNU project as a GNU package, see https://www.gnu.org/help/evaluation.html.
