It seems somehow to be Gnus' fault, because it keeps asking me twice for my passphrase: once at the very beginning of the sending process and once when smtpmail is somewhere in the middle of the body-send-process.
Because I am not a "real gnuser", could anybody tell me how to correctly backtrace the whole sending process of smtpmail (e.g. writing everything into a file)? I've already tried to work with the debugging facility but I failed to gain the information I needed. I've also tried to s/mime-sign (pkcs#7) a "message" manually via openssl and there it worked fine.
