The trick with email is to sort it into *many* different groups. Each mailing list, each regular correspondant, topic, or whatever you can figure out how to distinguish should be tossed to a separate group. Ultimately there is a catch all group that gets everything not specifically selected. I manually delete the garbage in the catch all group. I archive all the others. For groups with lots of traffic I put it into an archive and restart the group twice a year, for others it's once a year, and some of them get so little traffic that they might have articles that are several years old... -- Floyd L.
