Thank you very much for the heads-up. Being a new AT&T user, I learned
about this when I first set up my newsreader (Thunderbird, for which you
give no instructions online) for your NNTP server, but there are tens of
thousands of AT&T users, I'm sure, who are unaware of your plans and
will either be shut off abruptly, or will never know of the existence of
Usenet.
Usenet is so important that I'm sure it will never die, but it may be a
long time before it becomes very popular.
