Dear gnus, I'm reading my mail on a remote machine using ssh in a (text only) terminal, which mostly works extremely well.
I frequently get pdf attachments, and I find it extremely helpful that they are automatically displayed in the article buffer. (There is a message saying Viewing with pdftotext %s -) There is one little thing that annoys me though: german characters are not decoded correctly, for example, instead of "für" I get "für". When I use "pdftotext file.pdf - | less" on the terminal, they are correct, also when I visit the file produced by "pdftotext file.pdf" with emacs. (the modeline then says -uuu:---) Another thing, that looks like a bug: suppose I have several attachements, one of which can be viewed internally (eg., pdf), but the other can't. After hitting enter on the one which can't be displayed (and therefore getting prompted whether I want to save it to disk), I cannot view the first internally anymore. Anyway, gnus I love you!
