Thanks, Lars. This let's me set a hard-coded string manually. But is
there no way to insert "Gnus/5.13 (Gnus v5.13) Emacs/24.0.91
(windows-nt)" automatically? So I don't need to adapt the string if I
update Gnus or Emacs. Gnus still puts this header in usenet postings but
it doesn't in mail.

BTW: Is this intended behaviour? It has been introduced im Emacs 24. Is
the MUA to be considered secret? I'm proud of using Gnus and I'd like to
advertise in my mail headers, too ;-)
