If I understand your question correctly, you can do something
like I do with group-name-map:
(setq group-name-map '(("nnimap+imap.gmail.com:INBOX" . "Inbox")
("nnimap+imap.gmail.com:[Gmail]/All Mail"

("nnimap+imap.gmail.com:[Gmail]/Sent Mail"
