Thanks, but I don't think that solved my issue -- it still requires linearly scrolling through tens of thousands of groups.
I would like to browse groups by walking a tree data structure. E.g. start by expanding "gmane", then expand "gmane.emacs", then expand "gmane.emacs.gnus", then finally arrive at "gmane.emacs.gnus.user". There are entire subtrees I want to collapse and skip e.g. "gmane.comp.audio.*". Is this possible?
