eww and w3m are great but if the forum or website requires javascript, and unfortunately too many of them do, it won't work. You might see if the forum has an RSS feed but you won't be able to post if you read from the feed. I have yet to find a text mode browser that incorporates javascript other than edbrowse, and that is likely not the way you'd want to go, as it mimics the 'ed' interface. Bob Newell Honolulu
