If it is appropriate, I think you should include the inexpensive approach
using consumer electronic flash units and inexpensive home made sound and
light triggering circuits. An excellent resource for this is Loren Winters

Although I know you need to present state of the art technology methods, I
think the there are an increasing number of science teachers and hobbyists
using this inexpensive approach as well to get excellent results. Check out
the project some of Loren Winters' students did answering the question about

This list has not seen much activity lately has it? I hope you are all well
and embroiled to your shoulders in interesting high speed photography
projects.
OK, now for the purpose behind this note. It seems very likely that I will
be writing a chapter in an encyclopedia on high speed photography and
photonics. The truth is that I could use as much help as you all can or are
willing to provide. This in the form of info on new camera systems,
illustrations, specs, etc. Manufacturers: feel free to send me as much
information about your products as you care or can afford. I can not only
use it for this project but it will be of great use to me in teaching as
well.
The "bottom line" is that I will greatly appreciate any assistance that
anyone in the field is able to provide and I thank you all beforehand for
whatever info you can send my way.
