Here is our calendar of dates for the E2T2 project for 2003-2004. We will roll this out to districts that the DE has determined are "High Need" schools and also, the "Schools In Need of Assistance" (SINA) in reading...
We will focus on teams of Middle School teachers (approximately four teachers per Middle School building). We should be getting our final approval from the DE in the next two weeks and then will be approaching the schools in the YEAR 1 roll-out to determine their commitment to the initial year of training. We will bring all other schools on during the three year roll-out. FOR THOSE HIGH NEED SCHOOLS AND SINA-READING SCHOOLS: For now, we want you to be aware of the first year's training dates so that as you are planning your school calendars, you can hopefully align with these dates, or at least provide your MS E2T2 team with these professional development dates. The training will be rolled out in AEA4, AEA12 and AEA8. If your team cannot make it to a particular training, it is hoped that they will make arrangements to participate in a corresponding training in one of the other AEAs. As soon as we get the final approval, we will be talking with each school in YR 1. *Also note that Mary Maly and Dr. Gary Phye from ISU will be presenting at the AEA 8 Superintendent's meeting on Feb. 4. We will be presenting to other groups in the coming month as well.
