The Mac version of OpenOffice is in final beta, but that's using X11, an interface on top of OSX. The Aqua version isn't scheduled until Q3 e004. Yet another cheap alternative is ThinkFree from ThinkFree.Com. They quoted me $3500 for up to 750 computers. That's about $4.50 a computer. Like Star, it's mostly interoperable with MSOffice, unless one does way fancy stuff. See MacAddict's review for more info... Dang, even iMacs, for that matter. But the sales guy noted two interesting things; first that the license is good for Macs pre and on OSX, and that the server version offers a cyber drive.
