With the current outbreak of the SoBig virus, and the increase in email spam the AEA is now providing e-mail services for schools.

For $240/year we can host your districts mail on our server.  You will keep your current e-mail addresses ([EMAIL PROTECTED]).  This server supports all the standard mail clients such as Eudora, QuickMail Pro, Outlook/Outlook Express.  Additional features include a web interface to send/receive mail, VIRUS SCANNING of all mail message, and SPAM filter to reduce the amount of junk email.  Email users are setup and changed with your web browser.

There are two drawbacks to hosting your mail at the AEA.  1) If the Internet connection drops, or you loose your connection to the AEA you will not be able to send/receive mail in the building.  This includes the loss of sending mail to users in your building.  2) If your mail server gets is current users from the network (Microsoft Domain or Active Directory) there is not a way to synchronize users.  Password changes as well as adding/removing users will need to be done from the web.

Please contact me if you have any other questions about this service or would like to sign up.
