I have had several requests regarding what we are now using for our lunch program, so I thought I would share with all. Have a good weekend:-)
We switched over to using the JMC breadkfast/lunch module. At the high school and middle school we also purchased fingerprint scanners to pull up the lunch screen and choose what is being purchased. Each lunch line has a networked computer and the scanner. At the elementaries, the secretaries take care of it all in the office, so we did not purchase the fingerprint scanners there. One plus, is that we are now able to set up family accounts within each database (for us, each building). On a side note, we also purchased the JMC online package, which allows parents to log in and look at their child's records (grades, attendance). This includes being able to look at every lunch transaction--al la carte and all.
