----------------------------------------------------- Microsoft, HP and Software Plus Present Technology Solutions in Education
Please join us for a free informative session where we will be demonstrating the latest technologies and how they can help meet the needs of your institution. All K12 and Higher Education customers are invited to attend this full day event. We will be featuring the new Microsoft Office System 2003, Windows 2003 Server, Exchange 2003 Server, SharePoint Server 2003, OneNote and much more! We have designed the agenda around Desktop Solutions in the morning session, to include a wireless security update from HP, and then an afternoon session around Server Technologies and Security to provide the best possible experience for everyone. Please join us for either one or both sessions!
The morning Desktop session is oriented for lead teachers, media specialists, instructional technology personnel, technical coordinators, and network administrators. See why PC Magazine named Office 2003 System the winner of the "Excellence in IT" award in the Communications category. "When an office suite gains extensive XML data representations, document workspaces, shared attachments, and awareness of team members online, it transcends mere word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail and becomes a full communications environment. When it adds an addictive, fun tool such as OneNote, and when it connects to back-end business processes through InfoPath, it transcends the suite moniker and becomes the Microsoft Office System".
As the demand for mobility (wireless) solutions grows, organizations must ensure data and network security. HP understands how to deliver appropriate user access control across a broad range of environments without redesigning the existing network. Come see Hewlett-Packard's new unique wireless security strategy and some cool new products!
Software Plus will provide information on the Iowa Educator's Consortium Agreement that offers all K12 Schools the lowest possible price on Microsoft licenses through either the Microsoft Select Agreement or the Microsoft School Agreement programs. Both programs will be explained and information on how to purchase will be provided. These programs offer the least expensive methods to license your school with a Microsoft solution.
Ann Watts, Instructional Design Coordinator with DMACC, will kick off the afternoon session with a discussion around both their vision and implementation of Microsoft's SharePoint Portal at DMACC. From departmental sites for document sharing to collaboration to sites for faculty featuring an Instructor's Toolbox, to a site for shared high school programs, the portal is changing the way DMACC communicates both within the college and with their communities. Microsoft will then provide a technical review of Microsoft Server technologies that network administrators, technical coordinators and CIOs should find beneficial. We will be reviewing Microsoft's Trustworthy Security efforts and share best practices around what your institution can do today to prevent serious attacks to your environment.
These sessions will include product demonstrations and are geared to helping you realize the value of your technology investments. A light breakfast will be served in the morning session and lunch will be provided for those attending both sessions. We will offer several opportunities to win a variety of items, including a Microsoft Xbox package. Any questions, please email [EMAIL PROTECTED]
