If you want to know the latest technologies coming to computer networks this is where you will find the information. The prices as of yesterday was $342/person double occupancy for airfare and rooms at the Stardust hotel. The Stardust is across the street from the Rivera and is still within walking distance to the Las Vegas Convention Center. The only other costs for the trip would be meals and transportation to/from the airport. The cost to view the exhibits is FREE.
In the past it has taken a full three days to see all the vendors. Every trip we have brought back information that has saved the districts much more than the cost of the trip. One district saved over $20,000 on a purchase based on information gathered from the expo. I will also be reporting back to the Info-Tech group on my findings at the expo. I have been attending since 1998 and Networld + Interop has always been a very productive trip. Anyone who would like to attend please let me know. I currently have 1 person who is looking for a roommate to be able to go. Powhatan Travel Service is only able to secure pricing when booked for this type of package. If you are planning on joining us make your reservations soon. The Itinerary is, Monday, May 10th Leave from Des Moines @ 4:20pm, Arrive at Las Vegas at 5:10pm Vegas Time. May 11-13 Visit vendors and attend classes Friday, May 14th Leave Las Vegas at 10am, Arrive at Des Moines at 3pm If you have any questions about Networld+Interop please let me know. _____________________________________________________________________ Scott Fosseen - Systems Engineer -Prairie Lakes AEA http://fosseen.us/scott _____________________________________________________________________ With over 50 cars already on sale here, the Japanese auto industry isn't likely to carve out a big slice of the U.S. market for itself. - Business Week magazine, 1968 _____________________________________________________________________ --- [This E-mail scanned for viruses by Declude Virus on the server aea8.k12.ia.us] --------------------------------------------------------- Archived messages from this list can be found at: http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/ ---------------------------------------------------------
