I was talking with one district that had purchased a DVD recording camera.  They said their athletic department uses the camera extensively and are pleased with the results.  ----- Original Message ----- From: Richardson, Kevin To: info-tech@aea8.k12.ia.us Sent: Thursday, May 12, 2005 12:50 PM Subject: [info-tech] Sports Video Taping Our athletic departments old VHS camcorders are dropping fast and we are in search of a good way for coaches to video tape sporting events.  We could buy DV camcorders but two problems there we foresee is they would have to keep the camcorder to connect it to their VCR at home to watch it (tying up the camcorders) and some of them are not trainable to connect a DV camcorder to a VCR.  We do have a DV/VCR combo deck machine to transfer from DV tapes to VHS � but someone will have to do all the dubbing.   Anyone doing something simple that won�t involve hours and hours from the tech dept?
