We have been using the HP 2650 here, and love them. They also
make a 26 port version if you don't need that many ports. Haven't had
one bit of problem. They also have lifetime support and warranty.
Sorry, but they do use LC fiber ports, so you would have to invest in
new GBICs and fiber patch cables.

switch
with 2 miniGBIC ports runs $680. Lifetime Support and Warrantee. So

my main backbone switch. I presently run GB fiber using SC connectors

server room. I need to look for another switch that has the SC or ST
connector for GB.
