We have the latest beta loaded on a P4 3.0, with 512 meg of RAM, 80 Gb
SATA HD and an on-board video card. My processor rating is a 4.0, my
memory and hard drive rating is a 5.3, and my video card gets a 2 and a
1. Overall system rating is a 1. The system is usable, but could be
faster.

In case you were wondering about the performance of Windows Vista. Here
is the link to the message Ralph refers too.

It is good for a chuckle. :)

>>From what I have seen from previous posts is that for some of the
greatest performance boosts you need at least a Gig of RAM, and a very
good/high end video card for Vista.

Their rating system goes from 1(lowest) to 5(highest) and the machine I
installed Vista on received a 1! That PC is a Gateway E-6000 2 Ghz P4
with 512MB RAM. I know there is still a lot of optimization to do yet,
but it is definitely sluggish on this PC in its current form. I just got
a good chuckle that the rating tool identified "Windows Explorer" as one
of the reasons "Windows" was starting slowly.
