Karl-
We have been using the AverMedia box that was on the Coop
(http://www.aver.com/mpd/tvbox7.html). I can't seem to find it on there
this year. While is suits the purpose, I would like to find something a
little more "non-consumer." We have also used some Viewsonic boxes in
the past, but these Avermedia boxes are identically the same. Stole the
idea from Jefferson and Webster City!!!
We have also purchased a couple of Crestron systems where the
departments had money to get Cadillacs. These have a push button keypad
on the wall, and a wire plate where all of your items connect to. The
keypad controls the projector, sound and which source you send to the
projector. It works very well, but you sure pay for that function.
We are getting ready to purchase the Qomo tablets for some of
our classrooms, to provide the "interactive" part of the experience. We
didn't want to remodel what we had already done, and this was an
in-expensive way to get that piece of the puzzle.

Subject: [info-tech] "Smart" Classrooms
Since I got such a great response to my last questions, thanks by the
way, I thought I would run another one by everyone. THe topic of
smart classrooms has come up a couple times on the list. We are going
to start putting in these "smart" over the next 3 years. One of the
big questions I have is what signal switching boxes are being used?
Also I have one big classroom that can be split with a dividing door
the idea is to have 2 projectors in that room, what sort of device
will allow me to run 2 projectors from multiple sources, computer/DVD/
VCR? Thanks is advance.
