Due to a combination of factors, the decision was made that Version 5 of the
web IEP will be rolled out after the 2008 Child Count date rather than in
August.
It is with great regret that the roll-out has been pushed back but this
extension in the timelines will allow for:
a.. Comprehensive testing of Version 5 by the State, the alpha testers and
beta testers.
In other words, it is believed that by pushing back the timelines, the
application will have fewer bugs than if it was released in August.
The modified timelines for the completion of Version 5 and the release are as
follows:
a.. August 11: All programming completed.
b.. August 12 - September 30: Alpha and beta testing completed.
c.. October 1 - November 2: Bugs fixed and final testing completed by State.
d.. October: Write and test a conversion program for Version 4 IEPs.
e.. November 1 - 9: Convert from Version 4 to Version 5.
f.. November 10: Version 5 released
In regard to Version 5 of the Web IEP, which will be released on November 10:
1.. The following browsers will be tested and supported:
a.. For PC - Internet Explorer Versions 6 and 7 and Firefox Version 3.0
b.. For Macintosh - Firefox Version 3.0 (requires OS 10.4 or newer)
2.. Safari will no longer be tested and supported.
3.. The supported list of specific versions will be identified at a later
time.
Here is a summary of the supported browsers for Version 5:

Note: The Web IEP and Reports may work with other browsers. However, any
browser other than those noted above, is untested.
