Would disabling it in the control panel also disable the "View available wireless networks" alerts that pop up all the time?

I wonder if you could add it to the "Don't run specified Windows applications." I've never added a .cpl there. Or to setup the SSID that you want then disable the interface so that no one can switch to another wireless network?
