Mitch,

It looks like your principal wants a wireless cart and you want a couple
anchored labs of terminal clients. Are you asking for opinions on which
would be better? You can always build computer labs, but do you need mobile
computing? Would it be beneficial to have the teachers/students compute in
the classrooms or locations other then where the anchored labs are located.
The mobile lab is for mobility and more flexibility in your day to day
computing needs. A descent wireless solution would need to be in place for
the mobile cart or what would be the point. If you are going to create a
mobile lab and leave it in one place, then I would do an anchored lab. It
all depends on how the staff, students, and teachers are going to use the
technology. Usually, I see schools do a combination of the two types of
labs. Mobile labs and anchored labs are good solutions, but both are answers
to different questions/needs. Oh..I better stop.I am start to sound little

Subject: [info-tech] Laptop Carts

Who out there has laptop carts, or mobile labs. We are looking at getting
one of them. Our high school principal is wanting one but we have a lot of
problems with our wireless network working so I want to stay away from them.
I would rather have a couple new labs of terminal services like we have now
but using terminal clients and not old computers. Could you guys please
give me input of what you think. Any questions just ask and I'll respond
asap.

Thanks
