Here is a second for the Qomo tablets. I got to play with one a few weeks back, and was greatly impressed. I have one on the way from the Coop so I can start showing teachers how to use it.

We believe in the projector idea. We have people that use that same
argument as well, until you permanently mount them in the classroom and they are always connected to the computer. Once we have done that, the teacher's do not have to worry about connecting them or the setup. They
just turn them on and they work.

As for the interactive portion that people have talked about, we have
chosen to use the Qomo handheld wireless tablet instead of a whiteboard,
smartboard or Mimio type device. For $325 or so, you get the same
functionality, don't stare into the projector all day, get to walk
around the room and the kids are not looking at my out of proportioned
body while I am it the board demo'ing. Our teachers have loved it, and
I am not sure that they would want to be tied down to a board after
using it.

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Subject: [info-tech] Projectors vs. LCD

I know we have had this discussion before but I can't find it. What
would you rather prefer for classrooms. LCD or Projectors?

We have projectors in all of our middle school classrooms and our
teachers do not use them because they are too hard to use they say.
Please give me some of your opinions on what you think.

Thanks
