I am having some issues currently with our Remote Backup Server. Tonight
when I applied the security updates, just before the server rebooted it
noted a problem with a file and needed to run Scandisk. After Scandisk
completed and found errors the server was not able to boot successfully. It
looks to be a corruption of some of the system files, and I am tracking down
the issues. The actual backup files and application are present and I have
no indication of data loss at this time.
It is possible that it may take a day or so to bring the machine back up,
depending on how I have to recover from the problem. I will send out a
notification when the service is back up and running.
