Yeah they did but their wireless solution hasn't changed. We just put ours in about 5 months ago and haven't had a bit of problems. We have 16 a.p's spread out through 3 buildings and have very good converage.

They have discontinued the ProCurve wireless blades, at least for the 53xx and 54xx switches. Not sure where there solution is heading. Just my very limited knowledge, though. _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Richardson,Tony Sent: Thursday, March 25, 2010 9:06 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [info-tech] Wireless If the controller fails will the AP keep functioning? _____ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mitch Mueller Sent: Thursday, March 25, 2010 9:05 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [info-tech] Wireless Have you looked at a H.P. controller system. I am looking for a district wireless solution that just works and does not require a lot of administrative time to administer. Don't really want to attend school on regular bases to set it up and maintain it. Have looked at Xirrus and Aruba and unless you have plenty of time on your hands and just love complexity steer clear of Aruba. Xirrus is cool but their prices indicate that they know that. Any other ideas? Thanks, Tony Richardson, Network Administrator / Director of Technology Humboldt Community School District [email protected]
