In my cyrus.conf EVENT section, on the master, I have:
# Peridoically sync ALL user mailboxes every 4 hours
syncclient0 cmd="/usr/sbin/cyrus sync_client -C
/etc/cyrus/imapd.conf -n slave-channel -A" period=240
If you have something similar, then I suppose you just have to wait
until this command fires up
