Dear Cyrus folks,

A lot of people praise Microsoft Exchange feature to schedule meetings including the room (mostly used in conjunction with the client Microsoft Outlook).

Cyrus’ module *CalDAV* implements free/busy search as specified in RFC 4791 *Calendaring Extensions to WebDAV (CalDAV)* and RFC 6638 *Scheduling Extensions to CalDAV* to for example send invitation emails, as there are clients not supported that [1]. The module documentation [2] also mentions *iSchedule*, and support for scheduling with external servers is under development.

The client side looks more dire [1], though the calendar clients included in some operating systems are not listed.

It’d be great if you could share your experience, how Cyrus’ calendar and scheduling server compares to Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, and if your users are satisfied.

Kind regards,

Paul
