I think someone else reported this previously but I haven't had a chance
to look into it. I regret even attempting to make SASL DIGEST-MD5
operate as HTTP Digest auth.
If you are using https, then Basic auth should be sufficient correct?

Hi,
I've been struggling for a while to get CalDAV - authentication in
particular - working when using https (using the -s parameter with
httpd). This is both using Thunderbird's calendar as a client, and
connecting the regular browser to the admin interface (Chrome and
Firefox). Regular http worked fine.
I eventually tracked the problem down to a combination of https, and
DIGEST-MD5 in the sasl_mech_list. Regular http works fine with
DIGEST-MD5 enabled.
This is only a problem with httpd, not the other components (imap,
pop3, sieve).
Is this a known issue? a feature? a bug?
Thanks,
Mark
