I had stuck in my head that sync_client needed to be run as a child process of cyr_master, but it doesn't really: sync_client gets all its environment straight from imapd.conf, so there should be no issue wrapping it in a script and running it straight from, say, systemd.I have a custom python script that regularly checks running processes to ensure ‘sync_client -r -n {namedefinedinimap.conf}} is running. (You could use a dtandard bash script, entirely up to you).
