I really suspect that something is wrong here. I changed -U 2 to -U 200, increased maxchild to 10, and set the recommended sysctls.
This should give me 2000 connections, which should be more than enough for ~10 devices. Assuming each device is IDLE'ing on about 20 directories, this should only require about 200 connections, and I am giving them 2000. ss shows ~20 ESTAB connections, and 32 CLOSE-WAIT connections, nowhere near even 200, not even mentioning 2000. But some of my clients fail to connect: Failed to connect to IMAP server:socket.timeout: _ssl.c:1130: The handshake operation timed out; This didn't happen when the amount of daemons was large... Which part is responsible for not giving my client a serving imapd? ------------------------------------------ Cyrus: Info Permalink: https://cyrus.topicbox.com/groups/info/T22ff1c7d14d4cd97-Mcfdbbb6082422d96d3c6c250 Delivery options: https://cyrus.topicbox.com/groups/info/subscription
