Oh yeah, that has happened to me several times while upgrading to a newer version of Netscape and IE. I would get about an hour-and-a-half into a two hour download and the download would just quit with a notification that the process wasn't completed. After I don't know how many additional attempts and total hours wasted, I finally wondered if I should disable the a-v. The long download completed properly the very next attempt. It is major aggravating to not know that, or be advised of it, beforehand. Speaking of buying a computer system at Best Buy, or anywhere for that matter, that includes free internet service; that doesn't work when you live in a rural community. My brother drove the 150 mile round trip to the nearest large metropolitan city to buy his system. He didn't tell me beforehand that he was going to do so. He thought he was all set to get on the intrernet because Best Buy included internet service with the system purchase. Lo and behold, he didn't know that it would cost him $6.00 per hour in long distance surcharges to access the requisite internet service. I would have advised him prior to his purchase that he can only access the internet from the single ISP that offers access in this rural area. Fortunately, several competing ISPs have finally offered coverage here and prices have gradually dropped because of it. On top of that, he found out how all the illustrious free software included with a new computer system that is hyped in such a blustery manner by the vendor is actually mostly cripple-ware that costs a registration fee to utilize the full program.
