Try removing and reseating the connections. Right click on the desktop/select properties/ go to the settings tab and put the color on either high color (16 bit) or true color (24 bit). You may even have to drop down to the lowest setting (16 colors) reboot and then do the changes: reboot again, Other than that I haven't a clue!
