I upgraded to Outlook 2000 from Outlook 98 and I have the ability to do as
you describe. A friend of mine installed Outlook 2000 fresh and when I went
to try to put several email accounts on his the features were not available.
His Outlook 2000 was not set up like mine. Upgrading must retain some of
the features of the previous version, and yet the upgrade actually made it
easier for me to access my different accounts... go figure. We did find an
awkward way of swapping back and forth between addresses but it was a lot of
trouble to access every time he wanted to send an email. I forget how we
did it, seems like it was in Options. Sorry I can't be of more help.
