Weatherbug was mentioned here a few weeks ago regarding whether or not it
was spyware. While sending a free online greeting card today I noticed that
a window popped up on my browser that looked an awful lot like a Microsoft
plug-in or accessory suggesting I install Weatherbug. I did notice in small
print at the bottom of the window that there was a disclaimer stating it
wasn't afffiliated with MS, but, it sure was presented like it was. There
was no obvious or handy button to choose to not install Weatherbug so I just
closed the window without installing it.
Since this was my first encounter with this program, and I didn't see a
verified response here regarding the question of it being spyware, I did a
bit of investigation myself. I saw no mention of it being spyware but it
must be adware. Included below are links to learn more about it.
