You will need to go into add-remove-programs in control panel click on Windows Setup
Tab, click once to highlight communication (do NOT uncheck it), and click on the
Details... button. Check the box next to Direct Cable Connection. Now you need the
Windows CD-ROM.

Note: one machine must be the HOST and one must be the GUEST!

You will also need a special cable called a NULL Serial cable.

Here's the pin-outs, but you can purchase such a cable pre-made for this purpose at
your favorite computer store. Just look for a NULL serial cable with the proper DB??
and sex (male or female) for your serial ports.

You also want to check and see if you have a free serial port open.

After it's setup you can use that mysterious Briefcase to synchronize the files you
want...

There is also a similar method to connect 2 computers using the modem jacks, but I
have never tried this. This also requires a special NULL cable I assume, not just the
regular RJ11 phone patch cable.
