7 is a resource hog.  I had a 350 amd k6-2/350 and 256MB,5400 RPM drives and it drove me nuts s  l  o o o  o  w. I took the leap and got an AMD Athlon 1.1Gh, fast memory bus, 7200rpm, fast ATA100, and now it runs faster than 6 did. re:Napster, stil perkig at 9AM EST Tuesday.  If a guy has 7700+ MP3's, that is probably a bit obsessive.
