If you are just wanting to copy direct from CD to CD, assuming you have both
a CD-ROM and a burner, you can copy using only ram. Most software does have
the option to create a temporary image on the hard drive, the placement of
that image varies depending on the program. Usually you can find the
location in the program settings. If you are wanting to create an image of
a CD on the hard drive, you should be able to specify the location you want
to save it.

Subject: * informant * Copying a CD

I was just wondering, I haven't got too aquainted with my new burner yet,
but I was wondering how I'd go about recording a cd ON TO my harddrive
or wherever it's supposed to copy to.

..?
