Gil, in addition to the possible misspelling, check that if you use 2
criteria, as I do, that you use the appropriate Boolean operator; i.e.,
<this> AND <that>, or <this> OR <that>. For the way I see mail from this
list and the original (?) Mezzenger mailing, I want to filter if _either_
case is true, so I use OR. Depending on various circumstances, there is
almost always more than one way to accomplish what you're after

If you're not familiar with "Boolean," it's just a set of rules for the way
"logical operators" like AND, OR, NOR work, in a set of formalized rules.
But the key part here is to use the exact operator for the situation. And
since you're limited, I think, to 2 conditions in the filtering system, you
just have to choose between AND and OR.

Sorry if this comes across as pedantic; I used to be a teacher, so I can't
help it! :)

Regards,

Jerry

| Most all groups such as this one have the group name listed in the subject
| line. Why not pull your filter criteria from the subject line and you
won't
| have to worry about things such as misspelled names or when people send to
| the group blind which would remove your filter criteria from the To line.
| The word "* informant *" is always in the subject line, regardless of the
| subject matter, who sent it, or how they sent it.
|
| Just a thought,
| Pam
