My grandmother is buried in Germany, and it's my recollection that you can
only "buy" a grave for 25-30 years. After that time we were contacted and
had to decide whether we wanted to buy another 25 years. I think the
reasoning is that after a certain amount of time no one will care if the
grave is reused.
