Has anyone ever heard of a server rejecting all email from an ISP? I live
in Costa Rica where Amnet is the only cable/modem provider. After about 10
days of having my mail to my son in Arizona rejected by Daemon, I complained
to Amnet and got this response:
Dear custumer.
The mail form Amnet Domain is refuse by this server becuase Amnet is in
a Black list.
We are working for correct this problem with new rules and filters, but
Spews will correct the blacklist when the Amnet custumers dont send SPAM
for several time.
Thanks for yous patience.
This seems grossly unfair. Can anything be done?

Have your son set up a temp hotmail account so you can send him email till this gets
straightened out. It's not the optimum resolution but will keep you in touch
until....Lex

yes same thing has happened to me. I sent using adelphia and all adelphia mail is
banned from a particular message board that I use.
Seems many places subscribe to a service that supplies a black list. If they get many
spam complaints about one particular ISP (im my case adelphia) they ban EVERYONE (all
mail) from Adelphia.
The theory is that all the people banned will get pissed off and pressure Adelphia to
stop the real spammers.
It pisses me off but I see more and more of this.
