Jornades de traducció al Regne Unit
Les universitats de Manchester i Liverpool s'han coordinat per organitzar a
finals del mes de març unes jornades de traducció literària i audiovisual,
que inclourà un taller de traducció i un altre taller de doblatge i
subtitulació.
A les jornades, amb el títol Pride and Prejudice. Catalan Studies and the
translation process s'hi presentaran ponències i taules rodones sobre
l'estat actual de la traducció audiovisual als Països Catalans, i sobre els
mètodes fonològics aplicats a la traducció, entre d'altres.

The main objective of this conference is to allow detailed discussion on how
the Catalan language and culture is portrayed to other cultures through
translation and how Catalan audiences interact with other cultures in
translation. This conference will discuss the implications of translation,
both in the literary and audio-visual world, in theoretical terms, the
current state of translation studies in British and Catalan universities,
and also consider from an academic perspective case examples of translation
that illuminate the complexities of the translation process. There will be
interventions from professional translators and interactive workshops that
will allow the participants to directly experience the inner workings of
