Dear Bugzilla User,

On September 20th we will be upgrading the hardware and database of the
production Red Hat Bugzilla servers. The upgrade forms part of our Bugzilla
Performance Improvement Project.

We expect the hardware upgrade will provide a modest improvement to overall
performance and will enable us to make further improvements in the future; with
the enhanced operational flexibility in the maintenance of the hardware and
software platform. In addition to upgrading the hardware, we will also change
the underlying database from MySQL to PostgreSQL, to further improve
performance and handle the increasing workloads that Bugzilla imposes.

Both hardware and database upgrades are not intended to change the
functionality offered by the Red Hat Bugzilla user-interface (except the new
product widget and the component widget on such pages as the advanced search
page) or the RPC APIs.

Outage Timing:

An outage, beginning on September 20, 2015, 0:00 UTC and lasting between 10 and
14 hours is needed to migrate the data from the current (old) system to the new
production system and to verify that everything is working correctly before the
new system goes online.
