Hi! My name is Blake Ridgway (IRC/Matrix handle: blakeridgway), and I decided
it was time to re-introduce myself to the Fedora Infrastructure community as I
have since change e-mail domains and my dropped my previous IRC/Matrix handle -
Zormak. Here's a bit about me and what I hope to contribute and learn:Skills I
Bring:Systems Administration: I have extensive experience as a Systems
Administrator, Network Engineer, and Site Reliability/Platform Engineer,
working mainly with Linux environments. I specialize in open-source
technologies and have expertise in managing homelab and organizational setups,
including automation, server management, and containerization.Programming: I am
proficient in Ruby, Bash scripting, and have experience with Python and Go. I
am also familiar with infrastructure automation using tools like Ansible and
Terraform.Technologies: Over the years, I've worked with a wide range of Linux
distributions (Fedora, CentOS, Debian) and container technologies such as
Podman and Docker.Skills I Want to Learn:I’m eager to deepen my knowledge of
Fedora's infrastructure tools and processes, especially around maintaining high
availability systems and scaling infrastructure.I'm also interested in learning
more about Fedora's CI/CD pipelines and contributing to security best
practices.Areas of Interest:I plan to get involved in resolving Easyfix issues
related to infrastructure automation, monitoring, or improving the performance
of Fedora's infrastructure whenever there are some listed to be worked
on.Questions:Are there any particular tools or workflows I should become
familiar with when it comes to Fedora's containerization or automation
systems? Are there any projects that are in immediate need of attention that
align with my skill set?I look forward to working with and learning from the
team.Thank you for your time, and I appreciate any guidance or feedback you can
offer as I get back into the groove of being in the Fedora space again. Until
next time, I will be browsing and reading through the Fedora Infrastructure
documentation.Thanks,Blake Ridgway
